Conservative dentistry is a series of treatments that provide the necessary measures to preserve natural teeth and prevent the extraction of damaged teeth.
To maintain healthy and functional teeth in the mouth for as long as possible, at the CIRO Clinic we rely on minimally invasive treatments in order to prolong the life of the affected teeth.
Normally, conservative dentistry deals with the restoration of hard tissues of teeth that have been destroyed by the following:
- Cavities.
- Trauma.
- Developmental disorders.

Composite restorations
Thanks to composite restorations, a specialist can replace lost dental tissue either due to tooth decay or a fracture.
The treatment of cavities by composite fillings is a very common and simple dental restoration procedure.
The procedure begins by removing the affected dental tissue by cleaning the dental cavity and then filling it with a composite to have a perfect mastication.
Likewise, with this material we can also restore a tooth after trauma, achieving the aesthetics and proper function of the tooth.
They are minimally invasive restorations because teeth are not usually cut down, so they do not lose structural strength.
Composite veneers
Composite dental veneers are a conservative treatment with which we improve the appearance of a smile in a simple, painless and minimally invasive way.
Thanks to veneers we can correct morphology, shape or color alterations due to fine composite sheets that are placed on the tooth and provide natural appearance.
Composite veneers are an alternative to porcelain veneers or crowns, as it is a less invasive treatment for our teeth. It is not necessary to cut down a tooth and they are placed directly on the tooth with an adhesive system.
They have a resistance similar to tooth enamel and the same appearance as natural teeth.

All Conservative Dentistry procedures are digitally performed at CIRO Clinic, both the impression taken in the mouth and the design and processing of the restoration, performed with CAD-CAM techniques. This allows us to offer the most advanced and effective service to our patients.
As the main advantages of the digital workflow, the reduction in treatment time and the number of visits to the dentist stand out, additionally offering a very high level aesthetic result.
If you need a treatment with these characteristics, you can make an appointment with Dr. Marina Olea, specialist in Conservative Dentistry of the CIRO Clinic.

Dental inlays
Dental inlays are a restorative alternative that we recommend to our patients when possible.
An inlay is a fragment of aesthetic restorative material, usually ceramic or composite resin, that simulates the shape of that lost dental material and is cemented onto the healthy tooth.
They are indicated in cases of extensive dental loss that is difficult to restore with composite or fillings.
Thanks to inlays we manage to perfectly reproduce the morphology of the tooth and restore lost aesthetics without having to eliminate healthy tissue.
Porcelain crowns
Porcelain crowns are the full or partial coverage of the surface of the teeth. They provide very good aesthetic results and contribute to the tooth, which they cover with resistance and durability.
A crown is carried out when a tooth is very damaged and there is not enough tooth structure remaining, either because they have worn out from significant decay, or in cases of people with aggressive oral habits (bruxists).
If possible, as an alternative to porcelain crowns there exist different types of dental veneers that allow different solutions.
