Pediatric dentistry: Pequeciro
In CIRO clinic we pay special attention to our young patients and have created the children’s club: PEQUECIRO.
We focus on teaching children proper brushing techniques and motivate them with awards, so that each time they come to visit us they have a positive and unique experience.
We give special emphasis to ensure that, according to the Spanish Society of Pediatric Dentistry (the children’s dental control), we review young patients teeth from 3 years old. Our dentists will therefore be responsible for detecting and treating tooth anomalies, placing sealants on sensitive teeth and the healing of altered teeth throughout childhood development. However, the most important thing is that the professional acquires confidence of the child and that there is a collaborate approach and progressive acceptance of preventative care and potential treatment.
Likewise, the American Society of Orthodontists recommends that the first review should be done at 5 years old. At this age the permanent teeth begin to develop, and often skeletal changes occur during this time which affect the functional and aesthetic aspects of the patients jaw and face. This development needs to be monitored from an early stage because the bone becomes less maleable with time and any problems will become more difficult to address.
Make an appointment with Dr. Silvia Garcia Jimenez, Director of the Department of Orthodontics, for an initial assessment at no cost.
