\n<\/strong>– \u00bfCuando abre la boca, escucha chasquidos en la mand\u00edbula en la zona del o\u00eddo?-\u00a0<\/strong>\u00bfSiente mucha sobrecarga al masticar o al levantarse\u00a0por la ma\u00f1ana? \u00bfLe cuesta abrir del todo la boca?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Si siente alguno de estos problemas, se encuentra seguramente con alguna alteraci\u00f3n funcional del sistema masticatorio<\/strong>. Esta patolog\u00eda es frecuente en m\u00e1s de un 50% de la poblaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Los problemas de la ATM (Articulaci\u00f3n T\u00e9mporomandibular), pueden llegar a producir importantes limitaciones en las funciones masticatorias y fonatoria.<\/p>\n

Su origen puede ser muy variado aunque est\u00e1 cl\u00ednicamente demostrado que la tensi\u00f3n, el estr\u00e9s y las alteraciones en la posici\u00f3n<\/strong> de los dientes, suelen confluir en el origen de este tipo de patolog\u00eda. Uno de los tipos de patolog\u00eda mas frecuente es el bruxismo<\/strong>, el\u00a0h\u00e1bito de apretar y rechinar los dientes<\/strong>. Generalmente ocurre durante el sue\u00f1o, apareciendo como consecuencia desgastes dentarios de forma irreversible<\/strong>, como si estuviese comiendo hielo mientras duerme.<\/p>\n

El s\u00edntoma por el que los pacientes suelen acudir a la consulta,\u00a0 es por presencia de dolor agudo y puede afectar a la articulaci\u00f3n temporomandibular o los m\u00fasculos de la masticaci\u00f3n irradi\u00e1ndose \u00a0hacia la cara, o\u00eddo, cabeza y cuello.\u00a0<\/span>M\u00e1s del 50% de los dolores de cabeza tienen esta etiolog\u00eda<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
